Bento — Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Bento app and the optional Bento Cloud service. By using the app or creating a Bento Cloud account you agree to them.

1. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Bento.

2. Third-party servers

Bento is a client application. It ships with no built-in servers; you decide which image-board servers to add. We do not host, operate, control, moderate or endorse those servers or their content. You are responsible for complying with the terms of the servers you add and with the laws that apply to you, including which content is lawful for you to access.

3. Bento Cloud accounts

Bento Cloud is an optional sync and social service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and not access other users' data without authorization. You can delete your account at any time in the app; deletion is permanent.

4. User content & conduct — zero tolerance

Profiles, direct messages and shared library data are user-generated content. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. In particular, you must not use Bento Cloud to:

• share or promote any content that sexualizes minors — this leads to an immediate, permanent ban and, where required, a report to the relevant authorities;
• share content that is unlawful, or that infringes the rights of others;
• harass, threaten, defame or bully anyone;
• send spam or impersonate other people.

Every user can report other users in the app (profile or chat → Report) and block them. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours; violating content is removed and offending accounts are terminated. You keep the rights to content you upload and grant us the technical license needed to store and transmit it for operating the service.

5. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Disclaimer & liability

The app and Bento Cloud are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for third-party servers or their content, for loss of data you have not synced, or for indirect or consequential damages. Mandatory statutory liability (including for intent and gross negligence) remains unaffected.

7. Changes, governing law & contact
